Free Basketball

We believe every kid should get the chance to enjoy the fun, growth, and connections that come with playing basketball. That’s why we’re breaking down the barriers that keep families from signing up. Say hello to Free Basketball SOMA — our way of making the game accessible to everyone.

This program is designed for families who are receiving public assistance (like the National School Lunch Program) or who are facing financial challenges.

When you apply, you’ll be able to tell us which programs your child is interested in, what gear they might need (like shoes, jerseys, balls, or shorts), and if transportation is a challenge.

From there, our SOMA Basketball team will work behind the scenes to take care of the rest — making sure your child has everything they need to play, completely free of charge.

And don’t worry — all applications are kept 100% confidential and are only shared with the program organizers to help get your child signed up and ready to go.
